On 20th September, Rev. Bro. Thampy Alex, the Provincial-Superior-cum-Chairman, Provinceof Delhi, was whole-heartedly welcomed by the teaching fraternity of Montfort School, Roorkee. The programme beganwith God’s blessing invoked through a prayer-song rendered by the teachers of primary section. The Principal Bro. Albert Abraham felicitated Bro.Thampy with a bouquet, shawl and memento.
The teachers of the senior section showered blessings upon Bro. Thampy observing the Garhwali rituals. A soulful welcome-song was rendered by the teachers of senior and middle sections in unison. After the warm welcome and greetings by the faculty, teachers of the kindergarten presented avideo demonstrating the journey of Bro. Thampy's life. The biopic covered some glimpses of Brother's life and illustratedvarious phases in the making of this nonpareil.Mrs. Monima Sahni of the senior section, recited a poemfondly reminiscing Bro. Thampy's tenure as the principal of Montfort School, Roorkee. She extolled him as a paragon of excellence through the verse.
The teachers of the primary section put forth an enthralling and vibrant fusion of dance-drama and poetry in praise of the Provincial Superior. After a euphoric programme by the teachers, Bro. Thampy addressed the gathering and emphasised on the key to becoming a perfect teacher. Brother stressed upon the need for the teachers to be empathetic, adaptive and creative. Towards the end, thePrincipal applauded and extended his gratitude to the teachers for the wonderful show put up by them. The day ended with a lavish lunch served to all.
