Report - Plantation drive at Montfort School Roorkee on the occasion of Harela
Harela - Day of Green, a significant festival of state of Uttarakhand was celebrated at Montfort School Roorkee with great passion, ferver and enthusiasm by conducting the tree plantation drive in the school campus. Harela marks the onset of monsoon and the beginning of the sowing season of crops. To mark the significance of the event and to spread awareness with the message of promoting greenery around us, a tree plantation drive was held in the school premises at Montfort School Roorkee for the students and teachers. In the event the honorable Principal Rev. Bro. Albert Abraham along with the students and teachers planted the green and healthy saplings which added to the scenic beauty and raised consciousness towards environmental conservation. The Principal Bro. Albert Abraham extended his heartfelt wishes of the event on the behalf of the school fraternity. In his address he conveyed the significance of the event and emphasized the crucial need of planting trees and making our environment clean and green. The students planted the saplings and further watered the plants. The event was a success in empowering students with the substantial knowledge of plants and ecological balance. The Principal Rev. Bro. Albert Abraham, Vice Principal Bro. Prashant Kullu, Headmistress Sr. Santhana Mary, Coordinators Sr. Antony Amali Xavier, Sir Deepu Thomas, Madam Lizy James, along with the students and teachers of Montfort School Roorkee participated in the event.
