SWACHHATA PAKHWADA
Montfort School, Roorkee marked Swachhta Pakhwada 2024, being observed by Government of India from 1st September to 15th September 2024 by conducting a number of activities spread across the fortnight.
Students took Swachhata pledge and promised that they would live the dream of Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi to ensure that their home, surroundings and environment is kept neat and tidy.
Students were also made aware about personal hygiene, different methods of maintaining the same and the significance of hand wash in keeping oneself hale and hearty.
Cleanliness drive was conducted along with quality testing of water samples in the school and toilets by senior staff members.
Students also brought out the concept of 3R- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle along with plantation drive to safeguard environment.
Poster making, Painting, Slogan writing competition were organised for the students in which they participated enthusiastically. Meaningful and creative posters, paintings and slogans were made by students which were displayed in the school premises.
The Staff and Students took active participation and showed great enthusiasm in observing the Swachhta pakhwada and asserted that they would follow all means and measures for keeping their country neat and clean and safeguard it's environment.
