 The main focus of the mission of the Society of the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel is to
                        accompany and assist the young generation to get equipped with better rationale, emotional
                        maturity, scientific knowledge and empathetic approach through quality education.

                        Apart from the normal academic schools (Regular Schools) it also imparts technical education,
                        education for the hearing impaired, visually impaired, physically and mentally challenged. It
                        engages in village and slum upliftment and social work especially among the downtrodden and the
                        marginalized.
                        In more recent times, we have taken new initiatives for greater justice: participation in the
                        struggles with the poor; livelihood and human rights; work with refugees and migrants; support
                        for women in their demand for equity and participation; initiatives among the poor, street
                        children, victims of disasters, mentally and physically handicapped, youth in difficult
                        circumstances.

                         MONTFORT SOCIAL INSTITUTE 
                    
                 
                
                     
                    
                        Montfort Social Institute (MSI), addresses three most important issues of our times – protection
                        of human rights, sustainable development, and governance. 
                        The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the Earth Charter and the Social Teachings
                        form the basic framework of the task of MSI. The Institute uses these instruments to create a
                        culture of respect and dignity of all persons, and of the earth.
                        Montfort Social Institute is also an Affiliate of The Earth Charter Initiative. Started in 2000,
                        the Institute is also an Affiliate and a resource center of the Montfort Brothers of St.
                        Gabriel, a Society engaged in education and community development all over India for well over a
                        century.
 
                    
                         MONTFORT CARE 
                    
                     
                    
                        Montfort Care is a network of programmes committed to improving the lives of individuals,
                        families and the community facing transitional challenges. Our team of social service
                        professionals provide community-based social services to empower lives and strengthen
                        communities. Services offered by Montfort Care include three Family Service Centres, child
                        protection service by its Big Love Child Protection Specialist Centre, cyber wellness programme
                        for youth by its MeToYou Cyber Care programme as well as GoodLife! and YAH! programmes to
                        support active and frail seniors to age-in-place
                    
                    
                         MONTFORT TECHNICAL INSTITUTE 
                    
                     
                    
                        Montfort Technical Institute was started by the Montfort Brothers to give employment training to
                        poor boys of Alandur and St. Thomas Mount. In the year 1964, at the invitation of the late
                        Archbishop Most Rev. Dr.Louis Mathias, Rev. Bro. Zephrin came to Madras to start Montfort
                        Technical Institute at Alandur. The Building and the installation of Machines were completed by
                        1969. The power connection was made in 1970. Bro. Mathew Panathanath joined the community on
                        17th July 1970 and became the Director of the Institute after Bro. Zephrin. After installing the
                        machines job orders were taken up from industries around Madras. The first batch of 22 trainees
                        were recruited in February 1971 for turner trade. Bro. Joseph Kottoor joined the Brothers the
                        same month and took charge of training. The students were given excellent training in theory and
                        practical. On 8th September 1971, the Institute was blessed by Archbishop Arulappa.
                    
 
                    
                         THE STEPHEN SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF AND APHASIC 
                    
                     
                    
                        The Stephen High School For the Deaf and Aphasic was established in 1957. It is an aided
                        Christian Minority School administered by the Society of the Montfort Brothers of St.Gabriel. It
                        is recognised by the Maharashtra state Board. It is a Special School educating the differently
                        abled children. The School prepares the hearing impaired children for the Secondary School
                        certificate examination. The medium of instruction is English.
                    
 
                    
                         MONTFORT CENTRE FOR EDUCATION, TURA, MEGHALAYA 
                    
                     
                    
                        Montfort Centre for Education, Tura has a separate school for the Blind. It prepares the
                        Visually Impaired children to be integrated in the regular schools by training them in Braille,
                        Abacus, Trailor Frame, etc. Children are admited to Montfort Secondary School - an integrated
                        and inclusive education school, after their class IV in Marian School for the Blind.
